The Lightfeet brand of engineered insoles and socks was created by Australian sports podiatrists Graeme Simpson and Dan Thomas in 2001. Working with athletes, they’d noticed around 4 in 5 shared similar foot problems, and custom-made insoles were unaffordable for many. The key feature aims to enhance the ‘windlass’ function – which stabilises the foot during propulsion, and protects from pain and injury.
