Do I Fit?

There are a number of elements that you should consider in your self assessment about whether franchising with The Athlete’s Foot is right for you. These are some of the points that our existing franchisees feel are important to succeed:

- You enjoy dealing with people

- You are service oriented and believe in the adage ‘the customer is always right’

- You are passionate, energetic and determined to succeed. Satisfactory is not acceptable to you

- You are prepared to follow a successful system and contribute to the group as a whole

Our franchisees come from a wide variety of backgrounds and as such there are few pre-requisites for being a franchisee. Naturally though, business acumen and people management skills will be a big benefit to you in starting your own business.

Financial Requirements

The average total investment in a new The Athlete’s Foot store is in the range of $400,000 - $500,000 (exclusive of GST), which includes a franchise fee of $90,000 and delivers a fully built and stocked store ready to trade.

We are an accredited franchise system with most of the major banks which enables you to borrow a significant amount of the money without real estate as security, but you would need to have access to between $200,000 and $300,000 in liquid assets or equity in property.
